Context

An agro holding was preparing its booth for a major industry field-day expo. A trade-show booth is a system, not a poster: banners, handouts, the screen loop and the physical equipment all have to read as one brand — and someone has to own the inventory list, the print spec and the deadlines.

The brief was turnkey: from visual concept to files a print shop can accept without questions, plus screen content for the booth display and a packing list for the crew.

Approach

The kit was built as one identity applied at every scale, from a 90×50 mm business card to a 3000×2000 mm tent backdrop: two typefaces, a four-color palette and a fixed compositional grammar shared by all carriers.

Instead of drawing each piece in a design tool, every carrier is an HTML/CSS master defined at its true physical size in millimeters and rendered directly to PDF. This makes the whole kit versionable, diffable and regenerable: a copy change or a QR retarget is a code edit followed by a re-render, not a round of manual file surgery across eleven documents.

Prepress engineering

Print shops reject files with wrong geometry, so bleed handling was automated. A Python script takes each master layout and generates a _bleed variant: the background is extended past the trim line, safe margins for logos, text and QR codes are widened, and the PDF MediaBox is trimmed back to the nominal format — guaranteeing ink to all four edges with no white hairline from CSS pixel rounding.

Resolution targets were set per viewing distance: 300 dpi for flyers, cards and the QR table tent; 100–150 dpi for roll-ups, the backdrop and the stretch banner designed to be read from 2–10 meters. The delivery included a materials spec per carrier — substrate, grammage, quantity — so procurement could go straight to tender.

Beyond print

AI visualization carried the concept phase: generated backgrounds and product imagery fed the identity, and a rendered booth mockup let the client approve the full 3×2 m brand zone before anything was sent to production.

Every physical carrier carries a QR code pointing at a single client-registration URL on the holding's platform, turning booth footfall into a measurable acquisition funnel. The booth screen was supplied with product captures — dashboard, analytics and AI-assistant views of the client's platform — and the same identity was exported as social announcement formats for the feed and stories.

Outcome & what shipped

The delivered package: 11 print-ready PDF carriers in plain, safe-margin and bleed variants, 2 digital announcement formats, an A5 invitation with its own bleed-ready print file, booth screen assets, an approval album for sign-off, a written print specification and the equipment checklist.

The client took one archive to the print shop and one checklist to the venue. Because the kit is layout-as-code, the next season's expo is a parameter change and a re-render rather than a redesign.

What we built

  • Stand system & banners

8 tent-and-stand carriers — topper, backdrop, two side walls, two roll-ups, stretch banner, table band — each as a real-size print PDF.

  • Handouts

Two double-sided A5 flyers (buyer and seller audiences), a 90×50 business card and an A5 QR table tent, all through the scripted bleed pipeline.

  • Booth screen & social

Product captures of the client's platform for the booth display, plus 1080×1080 and 1080×1920 announcement formats.

  • Spec & inventory

A written print specification (materials, quantities, dpi targets per carrier) and the equipment checklist for the crew.
